What Doesn't Kill Us....
When I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in September 2016, I never in a million years would have thought it could kill me. Not me. I had to quit nursing school and had a long hospital stay but I was pretty sure I'd get better. But cancer, just like me, refuses to do what it's told and does what it damn well pleases. So it looks like I'm going to need the most aggressive treatment out there. So it's called Car T cell therapy, a type of immunotherapy. This treatment has a chance of saving my life but insurance does not cover it. My family needs financial support. I have two amazing kids and a hard working hubby. Karma is forever.
