Cancer. Medical and Hospital Bills
Spende geschützt
A day I will never forget - July 21,2016. Was admitted to the ER with stomach cramps, after 8 hours in the ER I was held over and in fact spent 9 Days in the hospital. Had a coloscopy where it was determined had colon cancer and a mere 4 hours later had surgery to remove that tumor. Later on was scheduled with a Oncologist for further treatment. And have been going through chemo since September 8, 2016. Lately during my last CT scan they found blood clots in each lung due to the chemo. So off to another Doctor for that treatment. Now sciatica has come into play and another Doctor comes into the loop. So since July 21 my world and personal world has been turned upside down. We have blown through all our savings and I do mean all. What we are now left with is Social Security and that is all there is. The funds will be used for continuing treatments of the illness I now have.To pay for all the deductibles that continue to roll in and for medication I need to sustain life. Obviously I need the funds as soon as possible to pay for the expenses that insurance will not cover, to be able to sustain Doctor visits and medications, and therapy due to blood clots. Over the years I have been a Red Cross Volunteer and for well over forty years have done K9 rescue and to be their voice when they cannot speak for themselves. What I have winessed in K9 rescue at times would horrify most people to the absolute cruelty of mankind. But I save as many as I can, although I have had to limit my involvement in K9 rescue due to my current condition and that hurts me. But I am determined to get well for my wife, my son and his family and to the Rescue work I do. For me to ask for help such as this is embarrasing to say the least. For me this has always been the other way where I am the one helping and now to be found in this situation to be asking for help. This is the most humbling experience of my life. Shortly without help my wife and I will probably be living out of our car or worse yet be made a ward of the state and for all practical purposes warehoused somewhere. As a Red Cross volunteer I have seen those places, not for the faint of heart. These funds would be a life saver, to get well and to carry on with our lives. You would have no idea of how grateful my wife and I would be to the generosity of those to choose to donate to our cause, for truly it is a matter to live longer and for that we are forever grateful.
