Swim Sukhy Swim!

I was diagnosed with incurable cancer in 2022 and my whole world fell apart.

The statistics tell me that I have between 3-5 years to live before the cancer consumes my body.

After an entire year of hospital admissions, different chemotherapies, masses of antibiotics and side effects the length of my arm I'm finally in a place where I feel strong enough to exercise - mainly in the form of cold water swimming.

I don't swim fast and I'm not a strong swimmer but it really gives me the feeling of being alive!

So before my situation changes again, my body gets weaker and I'm put onto a more toxic chemotherapy I want to fundraise for a charity that is close to my heart; one that has given me not just a group of people that can offer me support and advice but lifelong connections to help me when the times get really tough.

I'm going to swim a total distance of 15,000m from the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (1st October 2024) to the last day of the year (31st December 2024)
