Cancer Recovery for Ileen Fiihr

My name is Renae.

I'm here to share my mom's story.

She recently discovered she had cancer in her neck, face and maybe a bit more. She had surgery to remove the cancer. Then she had another surgery to move her feeding tube from her nose to her tummy. She has started radiation treatments and chemo. Then she developed a sinus infection on the same side the doctors removed the cancer. Until the sinus infection is cleared up, she can only get radiation treatment. She can resume chemo when her sinus infection is better. The treatment makes her throw up and have diarrhea, but they gave some stuff to help with that. Mostly it helps.

Her medical insurance seems to be covering most of the medical bills, but she has a very high deductible. Monday thru Friday she has to drive into the cities for radiation and chemo. These treatments are part of cancer recovery.

I would like to raise some money to help with her medical insurance deductible and help driving to the city for treatment, and any other costs related to recovery not covered by her insurance.
