Shea's Cancer Relapse - Help with medical and general costs

Hello, I'm Shea and I'm 27 years old.

I was diagnosed with hodgkin's lymphoma towards the end of 2022. For months I had felt awful, but never really knew why. After about a week stay in the hospital, the doctors had figured it out. I had hodgkin's lymphoma, which at the time I had never even known about. I had to put my life on hold and dive deep into the realm of cancer treatment. For around 6 months, I was going to treatment regularly and showing good signs of improvement. It was rough, but I like to stay positive, and was confident that the outcome would be great! After treatment ended, it seemed like my case had been successful. We started monitoring with regular scans to see if anything came back. I went back to working full time, but some of the scans were showing some concerning signs as time went on.

March 2024 I was laid off from my IT job because of outsourcing. The very next week I received news that the Hodgkin's lymphoma is back. I'm looking at starting up more treatment, with the potential to need a stem-cell transplant. Due to the unfortunate timing of my lay off and cancer relapse, I felt the need to reach out to see if there was any potential help that could come my way. It's surprising just how little assistance is provided to cancer patients especially when you are constantly asked to donate to help fight cancer at every supermarket!

If I were to receive any funding, it would most definitely be used to aid with paying for any medical expenses, along with keeping my rent, utilities, and food paid for. It's important to me that I can stay independent during the rest of my treatment and recovery. Any help would truly be appreciated.

I'm lucky to have been able to support myself during the majority of my journey with cancer. I have a wonderful family and I'm grateful that circumstances are not worse.
