Cancer Sucks! Love for Tammy thru her Battle

Sometimes ,there are amazing people who enter our lives, wrap their perfect tenticles of love, laughter and dedication around our hearts and never let go. They are unique, memorable and impress on us in ways that bring out a creativity we may have never known was within us. For me, Tammy has been that person since 1981 (39 years ago).
A few weeks ago Tammy called to tell me she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. As always, she stated it matter-of-factly, focused on the positive and made a joke or two about the situation. Inside...I know her...she, like anyone would be, was a little bit angry and a lot scared, but the face she will always show the world is the one of the warrior inside her.
Tammy's cancer is not the first cancer to touch the life of a friend or family member of mine, so I know both sides of the coin well. There are many added challenges to fighting it - the number of appointments, the physical, mental & emotional effects of treatment and the added expenses. I am hoping we can share some love with Tammy to support her in this fight and alleviate some of the stress of the added expenses.
To date, Tammy has met with her doctors and decided on a treatment plan. She had surgery to have a port put in on Tuesday, 6/30 and started chemo on Thursday, 7/2. After chemo she will have a mastectomy of her right breast and follow that with 6 months of a chemo pill. Her cancer is invasive, Stage 1, grade 3 and doctors are optimistic.
