Cancer Sucks X3 - Please help Ryan “Rylie” Gean
Donation protected
In 2008, after months of low back pain treated as a sports injury, my brother found out he had a tumor called Ewings Sarcoma in his pelvic bone. He underwent chemo, radiation and surgery. He showed no evidence of disease for five years.
The Ewings Sarcoma relapsed in 2013. The cancer was in his skull near his temple. He underwent surgery, bone marrow transplant, and spent 6 weeks in Oklahoma City for proton beam radiation.
Now, in 2020 during a pandemic, he has been diagnosed with radiation-induced osteosarcoma in the sacrum. He is currently undergoing high dose chemo in Denver and will travel to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN for a rare sacral surgery which will require a month-long hospital stay and lengthy rehabilitation.
This is our first go fund me for Rylie - the first two times he was a dependent under my parents (Tim Gean/Trish Fosdick), but now he’s almost 28 and has to take on these expenses by himself. We’re asking friends, family, and anyone who knows Rylie to please help ease this burden.
Anyone who has the pleasure of knowing Rylie knows that he is smart, funny, and deeply passionate about helping others and being there for anyone in need. He has a heart of pure gold and is the greatest son, brother, friend, and person and he now needs our help more than ever. We extend immense gratitude to any of you who can help out. Go Team Rylie!!
