Cancer Surgery for Bear

 

A couple of days ago, Bear had an ultrasound and a large tumour was located on her spleen.

We took her straight to Sash where she had a CT scan and surgery was an option as the cancer hadn’t spread to other areas. If the spleen wasn’t removed, the tumour had the potential to rupture and cause a painful death for Bear. For me that wasn’t an option at any cost. She’s a beautiful natured girl, loves and talks to everyone, she deserves a chance to get well again.

 

I like to reserve some funds for vets fees but this was out of the blue. An extraordinary sum of $22,000 so far. At this stage there may be more fees if the cancer isn’t benign, so crossing fingers that we don’t have to go down that road.

 

We had to use mortgage funds to help pay for fees to date, and any donations will go towards

existing fees and any ongoing fees.
