Cancer Treatment for Jessica

Hello everyone. Our names are Brandi and Dylan Hansen and we are fundraising for our friend Jess Miclon and her partner Zach Pinto. Jess who is 25, was recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia - leaving them with a fincial burden from an extended/ ongoing hospital stay, treatment, and medication costs.

Three weeks ago Jess went to the hospital with a series of cuts and bruises that would not heal. Within days she had been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. The past few weeks have moved very quickly. Jess remains in the hospital. Zach spends his mornings visiting Jess before going to work as a Chef along side my husband Dylan. Both Jess and Zach work in the foodservice industry. Zach continues to work to support them both while Jess recieves treatment.

So far Jess has completed her first round of chemo. Her second round will be done next week. After this point, she will undergo a bone marrow biopsy. The doctors will then determine the best course of action for her treatment - potentially a third round of chemo and a bone marrow transplant. It is hard to tell what the road ahead has in store, but we believe she will be in the hospital at least another month.

The funds raised will be used to help pay for Jess's hospital stay, medical bills, prescriptions, and rent while she is unable to work.

We are hoping this aggressive treatment plan leads to a fast recovery but there is no telling what lies ahead.
