Cancer treatment for Marty Rogers

As many of you may know our story started on May 5, 2019 when Avery, Marty’s son and our brother, was killed in a car accident on Towgotee Pass in Yellowstone Park, he was 33 years young. This event was very tragic in and of itself, but just 3 short months later Marty was diagnosed with Stage III Colorectal cancer. Due to the Affordable Care Act, Marty was unable to start his treatment until 2020. His Oncologist prescribed 24 weeks of Chemotherapy followed by 35 Radiation treatments followed by surgery. As many of you know cancer treatment is a roller coaster ride. First comes the Chemo with the weight loss and pain, then the hope of successwith the new set of scans. After his 24 weeks of Chemo, initially, his Oncologist thought the new set of scans looked promising and he was referred to the Radiologist. It was during additional scans from the Radiologist that additional cancer was discovered in his lymph nodes and lungs. He has now been upgraded to Stage IV andradiation was no longer an option as it was highly unlikely to be effective. Additionally, it was discovered that his cancer had the KRAS mutation making it resistant to most Chemotherapy. His Oncologist suggested another 24 weeks of chemotherapy with a 50/50 chance of success. He was also given the option of finding a suitable chemo or immunology trial, but the chances of success were even lower.
It was at this point that we started looking for alternatives and after much research we found the CHIPSA Clinic in Mexico. CHIPSA has been in business in Mexico for over 30 years with a documented success rate better than most cancer centers in the USA. This is why we are asking for your help. The treatment costs $35,000 and, of course, insurance will not cover the cost.
Everyone knows Marty as a loving father,husband (Marty and Judy have been married for 40 years in 2021), and friend to so many. Marty is a very caring and generous person, he would help anyone in need. Please give what you can to help us keep him around for a long time to come.
