Cancer treatment for Megan Smith
Hello dear friends!
As many of you know, I received the unexpected diagnosis back in February of papillary thyroid carcinoma. After much prayer and consideration of treatment options, and several months of implementing all that I could at home of what I was learning, Timothy and I have made the decision that I should move forward in pursuing care under a medical professional who can oversee my treatment and follow up with me long term. We’ve had multiple factors and confirmations pointing us towards a clinic in Mexico called Hope4Cancer, which uses innovative, non toxic therapies, many of which are not available in the US, to stimulate the immune system and expose and kill cancer cells. They have had high success rates with many patients, and it feels amazing to have so much hope that I may be able to keep my thyroid after all and truly be healed. Ultimately, it’s in God’s hands, and my heart is at rest in trusting Him.
The clinic happens to be offering a 20% discount right now that expires July 4th, so my plan is to fly out on the 2nd and stay for 3 weeks. I will go back for follow up appointments in 3 and 6 months, as well as doing home treatments for a year. However, even with the discount, the treatment is costly and the cost is due upon admission. We’re trusting God to meet our needs, but wanted to extend the opportunity to anyone who feels led to be a part of this.
As difficult as this has been, I’m grateful for reminders that my body is a temporary house and I’m ultimately created for another world. And I’m so, so thankful for each one of you who has expressed love and care and has been praying for me. Timothy and I believe God has called us to walk through this valley for a purpose, and we trust that He’s doing good things and it’s going to be a win for Him!
