Cancer treatment, one step at a time

Today is the first day of Lauren's battle with stage 3C cervical cancer. My beautiful strong daughter Pop.
For the next 5 weeks she will have radiotherapy 5 days a week and 1 day a week Chemo, too. Then, a further 2 weeks of intense, internal radiotherapy with overnight hospital stays.
Now I know she is going to smash this and kick cancers ass but, as a Mammy I just want to take it all away for her
Unfortunately that is not possible and while we will all support her 1000% and be there for her when she needs us, it's hard to realise how hard it is going to be in every other aspect of her life.
While trying to convince the doctors there was actually something wrong, her tumour grew to the size of a lime.
Lauren works as a fully qualified staff nurse but she has been using up any sick entitlement with her job in NHS these past couple of months due to pain while awaiting tests and diagnosis.
Now she starts chemo and radiotherapy with the additional stress of how to pay the bills.
Nobody should have to worry about money when battling for their life and the grief of infertility and so I wanted to start this go fund me page to ease the burden.
Everything will go straight to Lauren to help take away even a little bit of the stress off her and Chris until she is fit again to work and means she doesn't have to panic about rushing back to work and can give full attention to her treatment and recovery.
I just want to feel like I am doing something to help and I ask everyone, if they could spare a little to help her. If you are able, you have actually no idea how much you have done for us, for Lauren.
I know that lots of people wishing her well have asked how to help or what they can do, so I thought this could hopefully be the answer.
Thank you to everyone who reads this message and anyone that could spare even the smallest amounts. ❤️
(I will share updates of Lauren’s Journey here too).
