Art Therapy for Cancer Patients
Donation protected
Washignton DC-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations AIM Institute of Health and Pro-Cure Art are raising funds to provide free professional art therapy for adults with- and survivors of cancer.
The program's overarching goal is to improve participants health-related quality of life by: (1) decreasing patients psychological distress caused by the diagnosis, and improving their ability to manage challenges surrounding the disease and its treatments; and (2) assisting survivors to readjust to life after treatments.
The funds are raised to match the DC Government's partial grant for this program.
