Candace's bike accident fund

Hey everybody,
My partner, Candace, was on her way home from work yesterday evening (December 9th) when someone on an electric scooter ran a stop sign and hit her. She is a bicycle courier and was hit while on her bike. Luckily she had a helmet on but as you can see from the photo's she was pretty badly injured. She suffered a concussion, has fractured cheekbones and a broken tooth. Her hands and should were also beat up and bruised as well as a slight pain in her knee.
Being a bicycle courier in these situations is not great as they do not get paid days off and have nothing to fall back on. She is on my insurance but even that is only going to help so much. She is unable to work for the next couple of weeks at least, and will not be able to make money for rent and bills, not to mention medical expenses. It is estimated to take up to 6-months for a full recovery.
As of now, I am unsure of the full cost of the situation. She did ride in an ambulance, she had a CT scan and was given some pain killers, all of which can be costly. I honestly feel like the limit I set is low for what the actual cost of this will be but we will cross that bridge when we know more. The bills will start to come in soon and I will try and keep everyone updated.
We are very self-sufficient people and asking for this is hard, but necessary, as no one really plans for this type of accident. Anything and everything helps. Know we really appreciate anything you can do.
