Candy Boyer - teacher needing help

Hello,

Teaching has been my life. I have taught for over 22 years and love my students, but my depression became so debilitating that I had to stop teaching this past year in November. My new psychiatrist's treatment plan includes getting my DNA tested with a genetic test to help her in my treatment of depression and mood disorder. I need funds to help pay for the genetic test because my health insurance does not cover genetic testing for a mental health diagnosis.

Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved being a teacher. For years, I used to come home from school every day and reconstruct my school day for my Mom, my sister, and my imaginary students. Once I was old enough to pursue teaching as a career, I put my whole heart and mind into it, just as I did as a child.

I hope to use the funds to get the genetic test to get my health back, to get back to my classroom, and to get my life back.
