Candy McMillan Fire Expenses
Donation protected
Candy McMillan has lived in Deer Creek Estates for 17 years. On June 29, she suffered a horrific loss when her husband, Pat, died in a fire in their detached shop. Pat was a Coast Guard veteran. He put together the 4th of July fireworks
display for the city of Canby for many years. He was a mechanic and worked on cars in their shop. He had helped several neighbors over the years. Candy needs all the help people are willing to offer. The shop was a total loss, and the fire severely damaged the electrical, siding, windows, and doors in her home. Due to the extensive smoke damage, a lot of her possessions are also a loss. Her insurance won’t cover anything up front and will reimburse her down the road. That’s not something most people are ever prepared to cover out of pocket immediately. Candy would love to be back in her home she shared with her dear husband with her dog and cats. But that isn’t possible without some help right now. Any help, even just sharing this, is greatly appreciated!
(I’m the daughter of the technically challenged next door neighbor who wanted to set this up for their neighbors. All proceeds will go directly to Candy. I have no access to the funds.)
