Candy School Pilot Plant - UWISC

Donation protected
Candy School at The University of Wisconsin-Madison has a long and valued history of training candymakers  in the basics of our profession. Much of the equipment has been donated and often that equipment is sized for production use and not the laboratory.

Very few companies produce this machinery. A respected UK vendor does make these machines and  we have placed an order for some properly sized laboratory  equipment that will be a big help to classes.

The university has supported the program with the down payment on the equipment and we need to raise funds to pay the balance before the equipment ships in June 2021.

There is nothing like hands-on training and this equipment will allow students to form and test their recipes and see their efforts turned into real finished candy products.

Those of us who are graduates of this program are the ones who believe so strongly in its value to both university students and those who come to the university each year from industry to learn from a mix of professors and candy professionals working in industry.

Candy School is over 60 years old. The writer was fortunate to attend in 1972 and still uses what he learned then!

The university has supported the program with the down payment on this equipment and we need to raise funds to pay the balance before the equipment ships in June 2021.

Every $$ helps.

Thank you in advance
