Canepa Family basic essentials

Hi friends,

Here’s what’s going on in a nutshell. Nick & I had our baby in May 2021. Hooray! Our family allowed us to stay with them while we saved up to move out to our own place. Unfortunately a member of our family had a mental health crisis & kicked us out while I was 5 weeks postpartum. We became homeless overnight & scrambled to find a hotel room to shelter our newborn. We didn’t find a hotel under the freeway but it was pricey & our savings account dwindled quickly. It dwindled even faster as we needed food & diapers & formula. We moved from the hotel to a basement & saved, donated plasma, worked, sold our car, cancelled anything we didn’t need, & skipped meals to make ends meet.

Unfortunately, we still aren’t able to make ends meet.

we’d just like to catch up on our bills, have groceries, diapers, wipes, & just be able to take a breath.
