Canoe Outpost-Peace River Ian damages

Donation protected
Hello everyone I’m Trent Anthney owner of Canoe Outpost, as many know hurricane Ian swept through the Arcadia Florida area and left us with record flooding and lots of damage. We have been in business since 1969 and have never experienced anything quite like this. My family helped the founders open up Canoe Outpost. This business has been with my family since 1978 when my grandmother bought it from her best friend and my mother bought it from her mother in 2001. I have been working for the outpost since 1998 and I took over in 2021 after my mother passed. We will not be able to fully asses the damages until the water goes down but we know it will be a lot. We have water in the office building, water in my house on site and all the way up to our parking lot. Lots of things are ruined from flooding and canoes are everywhere. We will re-open we are just not sure when. Funds will be used in helping rebuild and getting us back open for business, we most likely have things we will need to replace as well. Any excess will go directly to helping other local families in need. For anyone who wants to donate to the Canoe Outpost-Peace River we thank you in advance.
