Canoga Park Street Vendors: Ana and Adolfo
Donation protected
UPDATE:
We want to thank the community for supporting Ana and Adolfo!
We want to invite you all to a protest being held Saturday, August 29th at 5pm at the corners of Gault and Jordan in Canoga Park, CA.
After the protest we will have a buy out for Ana and Adolfo, where we can purchase food from them. Please be aware that Ana and Adolfo only accept cash.
Once again, we greatly appreciate you and please remember this a peaceful demonstration.
Side note: Feel free to wear clothing that represent your cultural identity.
We are keeping the address anonymous for safety reasons. If you want to know their location to support them please DM @lascallesdelvalle on Instagram.
There's a family of street vendors selling in the Canoga Park area of the San Fernando Valley. They are experiencing constant harassment by a white female in a wheelchair. This woman approaches them and says despicable things such as "go back to your country" and "you should all be dead." The harassment has gotten so out of hand that their child, who is nine years old, can no longer accompany them because their parents fear his safety. The family is undocumented and therefore has limited access to resources; calling the police for help is a scary option. The family is also experiencing financial strain and is currently in debt because of the economic crisis due to Covid-19. Therefore, Las Calles del Valle is starting this GoFundMe on their behalf. All money donated will go directly to Ana and Adolfo.
If you can donate money, please do so. If you can't, please share this page.
The family is also accepting food donations as the current time is enabling a strain in grocery affordability. Please contact us at ou would like to donate.
Thank you.
