Canon City Independence Day Celebration

Hi there- we are Canon City Independence Day Celebration, a committee assembled to bring back the pride of Independence Day to Canon City, a celebration that has been missing in our community for several years. Wouldn't it be great to sit in your yard and watch a beautiful display of color and sparkle fly off of Skyline Drive on the 4Th of July? Skyline Drive is a venue that will serve the whole city. Imagine after your family cookout or gathering... No need to get in your car and fight the traffic, lugging your chairs and coolers around. You could celebrate with block parties, or with family in the comfort of your own home.

We have learned about an amazing new technology that allows us to still have a show even in the event of weather or bans. This is our backup plan because the cost is more. We are looking to raise $25,000.
