In memory of Cantor Rhonda Singer z'l

Greetings and Shalom!
We, Lydia and Jay Schlanger, are raising funds to bring the body of our dear friend, Rhonda Singer z'l, back home. Rhonda had been an integral part of our lives and the lives of our children. She mentored many students over the years for their Bar and Bat Mitzvahs at many of our local synagogues, including Stephen Wise Temple in Los Angeles and Temple Judea in Tarzana. Many people also knew Rhonda, who sang in our Temple Judea choir for the High Holy Days.
She moved to Florida a few years ago with her newlywed husband, Peter. However, he unexpectedly passed away. Rhonda then attempted to return to Los Angeles. However, with Covid and the higher cost of living here, she moved close to home for a while until she saved enough money to move back to Los Angeles.
Tragically, she passed away about a week ago. Her body is being held until it can be brought to Los Angeles. She will be buried next to her parents at Mount Sinai Memorial Park.
We are raising funds needed to bring her body back for burial.
She has meant so much to so many in our community, and now we all have a chance to show our final love and gratitude for her. May this time of year help to move you to be generous. This is one of the highest Mitzvahs that one can do, since it can never be repaid, only felt by you and G-d.
Help us bring Rhonda home.
Thank you,
Lydia and Jay Schlanger and Temple Judea
