Cantrell Velodrome

My name is Carl (Coach Carl) Cantrell. I am trained to design, build, and manage any university sports program and have an MBA. I founded and coached the Los Angeles Racing Team. I am raising the funds for construction and start up on a 50 year old dream (I am 74) and plan to start by hiring a professional management staff. This will be a very unique, custom designed, multisport and function athletic facility built around a bicycle velodrome (there will be a 250 m bike track, a 110 m roller racing track, and a 50 m rollder derby track in the main arena). We will do both on sight and off sight events promotions and management. This will be a family oriented program to help people, especially young people in how to dream and achieve their dreams. Some of the sports and activities we will start with will include Bicycle road, track, MTB, cyclocross, indoor cycling, roller racing, roller derby, roller hockey, roller figure and dance skating, team handball, gymnastics, competitive dancing, and other activities. For example, we will start with managing a 5 day bicycle road stage race as one of our events. The facility will be at 4200 feet in altitude in the small town of Alamogordo, New Mexico, USA, next to the Sacremento Mountains. There will be programs in all sports and activities for from children to adults. I am founding this as a sole proprietorship to have absolute control to prevent some of the corruption I see today in business and nonprofit corporations. I am doing this because I love helping people, especially young people.
