Medical Treatment in Singapore for Steroid Withdrawal

Hi everyone! My name is Gemma and I'm trying to get some extra money to help me get some medical treatment in Singapore.

So my condition is called Topical Steroid Withdrawal. I used steroids for 20 years (I'm 26 now!) to heal eczema. In 2022 my body couldn't handle the steroid medication anymore, and my skin became very red, painful and hot, I couldn't regulate my temperature, I'd be so hot but shivering from feeling cold. I had several trips to the hospital where they gave me oral steroids. This continued until mid 2023 until I heard about TSW.

Upon hearing about TSW I stopped all steroid medication and began my withdrawal journey as the steroids were only making things worse. Now there is no cure for TSW and the medication available are immunosuppressive drugs, which doctors rarely give, and they have some terrible side effects and long term complications.

One treatment however, is CAP. This is Cold Atmospheric Plasma, this makes the skin proliferate at a faster rate to bring out new and healthy skin cells and many TSW sufferers have had success with it. However, CAP is only available in 3 places in the world, 2 of which are fully booked and the only available is Singapore. CAP is a once a week treatment, at the beginning I will need 130 minute sessions, and a total of 24 sessions. This is only a rough gauge and can change, but CAP costs £120 for 30 minutes. I will also be living in Singapore for the duration of treatment and it is very costly in terms of rent. So I really really need any help I can get.

TSW is hell, it is painful, dehumanising, debilitating and I have lost all quality of life. I am in pain, uncomfortable, I suffer from insomnia, my lymph nodes are like grapes, I've lost my eyebrows and my hair falls out in clumps, I've lost 2 stone from no appetite, my skin oozes when I scratch it, I've had several infections, and I am mentally and physically exhausted. Some days I struggle to move around the house. Ihave missed family members birthdays, I've missed holidays and events I was looking forward to, and I refuse to leave the house. I have contemplated suicide and live every day in pain... CAP is my last hope of having any form of life, anything that any lovely people can donate will help greatly with the costs of a long trip to Singapore for CAP, and will help me get my life back, will help my mum get her daughter back, will help my partner get his girlfriend back.
