Cape Tribulation Cyclone Jasper Relief Fund

Donation protected
UPDATED: Hello, my name’s Stevie. This relief fund was originally made to provide help for the Community in Cape Tribulation who have been left standard after the flooding that followed Cyclone Jasper. Cape Tribulation is a small town of around 100 current residents including myself. We live in the heart of the rainforest were homes and businesses are run completely off grid. To get here you have to cross a ferry followed by bridges and winding roads that are now blocked by huge land slides, and a flooded ferry crossing. We were affected by Cyclone Jasper and the torrential rain that followed. People were forced to evacuate their homes and the reality of not being able to access food or diesel to generate power has been a struggle weighing on everyone. Thank you to the community hero’s and donations made for keeping the community afloat. I hate to say it but emergency services & the council has seriously disgraced me, luckily the humanitarians are onto it! 3 Weeks later & we are still stranded waiting for some access to the outside world. On the bright side we have had lots of much needed sunshine allowing homes to dry out and making it possible for clean up around the community. As for donations, they will be distributed to those who are in the most need of assistance. Thank you to everyone who has donated & sent their support.
