Capital Checkers Is Losing Its Home

Capital Checkers - a DC cultural institution for over 40 years - has lost its home. The club has rented space in Shaw since the 1980s but amidst rapid gentrification, the landlord has decided to sell the property. Capital Checkers must leave by the end of the month. Please help the club to pay for necessary moving and storage expenses as they find a new home. Thank you!
