The Capital Region Restaurant Fund is raising funds to provide supplemental financial support for struggling bar and restaurant employees in Albany, Schenectady, Saratoga and Rensselaer Counties of New York, who are out of work due to a COVID-19 positive diagnosis or mandatory quarantine and to provide limited financial support for local restaurant owner/operators whose establishments have been forced to close temporarily due to staff who have tested positive or are under mandatory quarantine.
Your donation will allow CRRF to provide limited financial support to:
1. Employees of a bar or restaurant in Albany, Schenectady, Saratoga or Rensselaer County who have tested positive for COVID-19 and are unable to work as a result.
2. Employees of a bar or restaurant in Albany, Schenectady, Saratoga or Rensselaer County who have had close contact with someone who is COVID-19 positive and are unable to work as a result.

Restaurant owners whose establishments have been temporarily closed due to staff having been infected with COVID-19 or staff having been placed under mandatory quarantine may apply for financial assistance via the Capital Region Restaurant Fund website at http://www.capregrf.com
Applications will be processed on a first come, first serve basis. Applications will be reviewed and verified by volunteers and then presented to the five member Capital Region Restaurant Fund Review Board who will decide which applications to approve and for how much.
The amount of financial assistance provided to any one individual employee or restaurant owner will be decided based on a variety of factors including but not limited to the availability of other types of relief (unemployment, paid sick leave, grants), the amount by which their income is reduced, the applicants ability to provide verification and the amount of available funds at the time of the application.
100% of the funds collected will be gifted to applicants and go toward any direct overhead costs associated with maintaining the fund including but not limited to the cost of checks, envelopes and postage. A weekly report will be issued showing costs incurred and amounts gifted.
