Cappoquin Camogie Club's Run, Walk, Skate to 1998
Donation protected
Cappoquin Camogie Club is delighted to launch our “Run, Walk, Skate to 1998” fundraiser, which takes place over the Easter weekend, Friday April 2nd to Monday April 5th. We need you to help us to reach our goal of clocking up 1998km over the 4 days -1998 as that's the year our club was reformed!
We all know how challenging the last 12 months have been for our families and community. Like many clubs, we haven’t been able to hold any of our usual fundraising activities to continue to provide for our 10 different teams and more than 130 players. We know that others in the community have been badly affected also so we are thrilled to be donating half the proceeds raised in this fundraiser to our local primary school, Bunscoil Gleann Sidheáin.
So what do we want you to do?
1. Get out for a run, walk, skate, cycle or whatever you like over the Easter weekend, as often as you like, making sure to follow current public health guidelines of course.
2. Keep track of your kilometres travelled and send us the distance through our social media channels. Spot prizes for best dressed, most unique method of travel and more will be awarded so we’d love to see plenty of photos too!
3. Make a donation through our GoFundMe page.
We’re asking all members of our club and community to get up and get out to support this event - no distance or donation is too big or too small! Even if you can’t get out during the event, we’d love your support in any shape or form. All in our club really appreciate your continued support and we look forward to getting back out to the field of play as soon as possible.
