Caprock High School MCJROTC

Let me introduce you to some amazing young men and women. Meet the Caprock High School's MCJROTC drill team. The picture you see is from last year when these young men and women won their first-ever national championship! These young people worked so hard to make it to Nationals, and took home 1st place! First time in their and the school's history! Well, they get to try it again this year! They placed 2nd overall at regionals and now have the opportunity to defend their national title. This time it will be in Fredericksburg, VA. They will be staying in Washington D.C. 48 miles from Fredericksburg. We are all so proud of them! These kids get up before the sun to go and practice before school, practice after school, and practice on the weekends and holidays to perfect their skills. In between school and practicing, they are busy doing community service, working concessions, bake sales, and fundraisers to help them get to their drill meet competition. Usually, the Marine Corps can help with funding, but this time they are coming up short (certainly understandable). We need to get these kids to nationals so they can try to take home the Trophy again!! Getting 18 kids to Fredericksburg, VA is not cheap! Will you help? We are looking for 70 people to donate $100, but any amount is appreciated. A lot of these kids come from low-income or working-class families. These kids work hard for their goals and are not slackers. They are willing to come and perform at your business or community events. For many of them, this may be the only opportunity they have for their future, and well, getting to see our great nation's capital in the process..... priceless!
