Capt Ron's Memorial fund
Ron Hausner was the best friend I've ever had. But he wasn't just a great friend to me - Ron's life TRULY made a difference in countless other lives, as well.
Ron loved people, and he loved whitewater rafting, and he loved taking people rafting! But "Captain Ron" was so much more than just one of the premier river guides in Washington, for more than 20 years.
Ron had a stronger work ethic than anyone I've ever known, but he also gave so much of his free time to helping out people and trying to make a difference whenever and wherever he could.
In business - (as his roommate for the last 5 years) I saw him dramatically increase the monthly revenues of the Maaco auto-body shop he managed in S Lk Union, by more than four-fold over the 2+ years he worked there!
But it was in life itself that Ron will be most missed.
That same love and commitment to a higher purpose is also what drove him to devote countless hours to helping those who were less fortunate or just struggling with life. He was a caring and giving soul, a willing ear, an open heart, and was someone who actually DID make a difference to so, SO, many people!
Ron is survived by his 2 sisters, one brother and 5 children - 4 daughters and a son.
Money raised in this campaign will be used to reimburse the family for any expenses (cremation, transportation, etc). In addition, $400 will also be used to reimburse for the cost of Church rental for the Memorial - as well as any food, decorations, etc., purchased for the event.
The Memorial will be held on Saturday, Sept 29th - so funds are requested prior to that date if possible (but this campaign may be continued, to help the family further if deemed appropriate).
Any questions - I can be reached by phone (weekdays after 5, M-Th, or anytime after), text, or Facebook. I am handling all Memorial arrangements, in order to save the family that onerous duty and provide a place for all to grieve and share in the JOY SHARED in the life of Ron Hausner
In the spirit of Love & Service,
Michael Pence
