Captain Brian Van Horn's family in mourning.
Donation protected
Our fellow aviator and friend, Captain Brian Van Horn, at the early age of 49 years old, died on Saturday, April 29th. Brian, a loving family man, left behind his wife, Edith, 12 year old son Asher, and two young adult daughters, Alex and Sydney.
Brian left this world living his life long dream of flying as a private jet pilot.
Brian and his crew were on the last leg of a five day trip, when sadly, he passed away during the night in his hotel room.
Please contribute to his GoFundMe page to assist the Van Horn family. Brian led an unselfish life; he would give his last dollar to any person in need, without a second thought. His warm heart and kindness will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Please find it in your heart to contribute any amount to the Van Horn family! Thank you!
I’ll end this with the Pilot's Creed by John Gillespie McGee written in 1941:
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
of sun-split clouds,-and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of-wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager aircraft through footless halls of air....
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark nor ever eagle flew-
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God!
