Captain Danny Harris

We are setting up this GoFundme on behalf of our brother, son, boyfriend, firefighter, medic, and friend Danny Harris. Danny is a newly promoted Captain at the Shirley Fire Department where he has worked in the industry for 20 years. Prior to Shirley Fire Department he worked at Rutland Fire Department.

On 12/28/2022, Danny was working at the Shirley Fire Department when he was reported to have been stricken ill while working. He was then evaluated and transported to Nashoba Valley Medical Center by the on-duty personnel at the fire station. Danny was evaluated and then transferred to St. Elizabeth's in Brighton, MA. Following that he was transferred to Mt. Auburn in Cambridge, MA and then to Beth Israel in Boston, MA. He is currently admitted in the ICU, intubated and sedated. It has been determined Danny has been diagnosed with blood clots and a GI bleed which they are still attempting to treat.

This fundraiser is being prepared to alleviate some of the financial burdens on his loved ones as Danny will be out of work for some time in order to recuperate.
