Captain Logan Has Run Aground

On Monday, July 31st 2023 a solitary sailor had some unfortunate luck while trying to sail home to Washington state.

Logan ran aground and is currently beached on the residential side of Stinson Beach. Getting off the beach is going to require some serious excavation and towing which is bound to be costly. Captain Logan has been sleeping onboard his lopsided vessel which he calls home, for a week. There has been no intervention or offers for help from the community. He needs our help, let's see what we can do to help someone down on their luck and making their best effort to survive on his own. All funds raised will be given to Captain Logan who is currently residing on Stinson Beach.

We are currently looking to rent a Grade All to lift and right the vessel. The Grade All will take the vessel out as far as it can go at low tide while it awaits the next high tide. Hopefully then Logan will be able to sail out of the area.

The local authorities are threatening to disassemble the boat to get it off the beach. We are trying to buy time. If not your donations will go to Logan for transportation back to Washington State. Logan is very grateful for the donations and the encouragement you have given him.
