Capulí - Short Film

Capulí is a short film that tells the story of Rosibel, a young indigenous woman from the Amazon, who has spent most of her life in the city. One day, she gets the sudden urge to visit her community. During the long journey there, she reflects on her current life and her relationship with her roots. The ambiguous state of being on the road brings up thoughts and memories she had long forgotten.

Capulí is an exploration of the “in-between”. The journey between two places, nature and the city, comfort and curiosity. There are no clear lines that define who we are or what we feel. With this film, we want to embrace that lack of clarity, as it’s where we spend most of our lives.
