Car Crashes Suck

On Saturday morning, my boyfriend calls and starts the conversation with, “Let me begin with we’re both ok...” Well that right there sets the tone for panic mode. While Andrej and our friend Alex were traveling from Flagstaff to Las Vegas, the trailer hauling two motorcycles started to bounce uncontrollably  and swerve as they were going downhill and eventually it flipped taking the van and them with it. They were able to crawl out of the passenger window and walk away bruised and banged up a bit. But the van, along with the trailer and two bikes, are all totaled. Andrej was headed to work at Burning Man, and Alex was helping him make the drive. He was hauling his stuff, my stuff and a few of his crew members stuff. The tow for all those things was over $1000, the Uhaul rental almost $600,  and we don’t even know what we’re looking at for all the other stuff. Van, two bikes and a borrow trailer that is also totaled. For now I’m trying to help my guy with any expenses at all. Be it gas to keep going (his work was supposed to start Monday), a place to stop and sleep along the way (he wasnt staying in hotels bc he had a van!) or just anything at all to help relieve some pressure. I am BEYOND grateful they are both ok. Material things can be replaced. But I couldn’t replace my Andrej. And I couldn’t replace my Alex. If you have a few bucks to help, great.
