Car Parts Stolen from my Dream car

Hello, my name is Angela and I’m 22 years old. I’m a full-time Student Nurse that just moved to the United States 3 years ago, from the Philippines. I’m beginning my journey to becoming a Registered Nurse and one of the achievements I have made was getting my own dream car in 2021 with the money I have saved from working. It hasn’t even been a year and something terrible has happened with my car.

I’ve been parking my car on Myers Street, Burbank, CA for almost 2 years and I have been so blessed having such great neighbors who are nice and friendly making me feel happy when I see them around and knowing our neighborhood is safe.

On November 4th, 2022, one of our neighbors knocked on our door at 7:30am to alert us that something had happened to my car. No words could express how devastated I was seeing my car all torn up. The hood of my car including the bumper and headlights was gone along with the entire trunk door as well as wrecking the driver door.

I’m furious and confused on what kind of people would do such a thing and how did they even manage to do all that damage without my car alarm going off or without getting noticed. I have asked my neighbors if they had any type of footage from their outdoor house cameras of my car being dismantled but unfortunately their cameras will only go as far as the parameters of their front porches. I have called Law Enforcement and they have investigated the scene but didn’t find any sort of evidence or fingerprints. This is the work of professional thieves! Sadly, my insurance doesn’t want to cover it because I only have “Liability Insurance.”
