Car Stolen, Owner Thrown Off Car& Ran Into House

My name is Maleah Coy and I am a 21-year-old vibrant, hard-working, and kind lady. On May 20th, 2023 three young girls came and robbed me and stole my vehicle on the North side of Columbus.

I tried to stop them by running after them and pleading with them for my sake and theirs to stop. The three girls drove off with me on the hood of the car and attempted to try and harm me by swerving the vehicle to get me off. Sadly, they were successful and I flew off of the car in the middle of the street.

Shortly after they proceeded to zoom off and drive my car into someone's house a couple of blocks down the road and run away.

I was severely injured with a head, leg, and foot injury and put in a cast, and had to use a wheelchair to help with daily activities.

I have lost time from work, and normal daily activities, and am in need of counseling due to PTSD from the incident.

It saddens my heart that these young girls could do this to me without any remorse.

As you can see from the videos I cried and begged them not to continue with their plan. Instead, they chose to deliberately throw me off of the car. Thankfully they threw me off of the car before they drove it into the house.

These girls had nothing but bad intentions behind doing this to me.

The three girls are in hiding and have not turned themselves into the police.

I am in need of support in any way that you are able to help.

This situation has been beyond painful to the point that it has affected my everyday life and caused a great deal of anxiety/depression. It was a very traumatic experience for me, especially considering that I haven't even had this car for a month and I just had an accident in March 2023 that I was not at fault for, which left my car totaled.

I purchased this car in April of this year. I have only made one monthly payment on this car. I have worked diligently to save up for this car that I purchased and now I have no vehicle and now it is totaled by this incident. Now I have no transportation to work or take care of my personal needs. 

I am a good person and I am very lost for words and do not understand why these girls could do something like this to me and literally gain nothing...

I now have to suffer in certain ways because of their actions.

No matter how good of a person you are, sadly there are people in this world that have nothing but mal intentions and will do anything to get what they want for instant gratification.

I work hard for everything I've ever earned and I should not have to suffer in this way...

All donations will be used for me to get a car and be back on my feet again.
