Cardiac Surgery Medical Mission to Jamaica 2024

The Friends of Montefiore CT Surgical team is once again traveling to Jamaica, West Indies, to provide free reparative cardiac surgeries. These surgeries are funded completely via donations, and wouldn't be possible without the time, energy, and assistance from volunteers & people like you. Any amount of money is appreciated and helpful!

We are scheduled to complete a mission trip from February 16-23rd, 2024, in Jamaica, West Indies, where we are currently in collaboration with the medical and nursing staff of the University of West Indies Hospital. With over 600 patients on the waiting list, the team will perform 17-20 lifesaving surgeries for adolescents and young adults during this visit. This type of cardiothoracic surgery on this patient population is unprecedented in Jamaica due to lack of clinical resources.
