Care for Creamsicle's Lovely Feral Family
Donation protected
Creamsicle and her large and very friendly family need family planning help. We need to raise about $500 to start for that.
We've found a local vet who will do the needed care and now it's time to make sure the lovely Creamsicle gets to retire from being a mom. She's really good at it! I think she deserves to be rewarded with vet care. 2 years worth of kittens is more than enough. We need about $200 for her vet care, plus money for a nice safe trap to transport her which is a one-time cost.
Her two lovely daughters, Tabithina and Tammie also both need that.
Tabithina (she's the tiny brown tabby in this photo, and very pregnant when I took it a couple weeks ago) is a fantastic mother and has raised a litter and had a second one this year, and I think she's earned her trip to the vet, too.
Some of the kittens in the main photo are hers, some are Creamsicle's, and one is Tammie's. The tortie is Wanda, the orange cat is Mandarin Orange, the 'mese is MoMo, the calico is Calliope (not here anymore) and the other two brown tabbies are Talbot and Junior, both boys. Not in the main photo are Lemon and Snowtip, who is also brown tabby, but with a white spot on his tail.
Tammie isn't such a great mom, but I also don't think she needs to develop that skillset any further. I've placed 2 of the kittens, but we have easily a dozen that will also need care as a stretch goal.
It would be great if we could also neuter the dad patrol, Gingerboy (an orange cat not in the photo) and Mr Earl Gray, who is his dad, so they have less of a Sharks vs Jets relationship. They are both sweet guys but the testosterone is high sometimes.
The current goal covers all the estimated vet costs for everyone except the six newest members of the family, who are so new we don't have names for them yet. Right now they're The Fuzzy Potatoes.
Things we'd love to have money to cover: Real shelters for them, help with food costs (right now it's about $100 a month for their food) and maybe some outreach assistance for the other 2 clowders in our little town.
If we can get enough to spay and vax Creamsicle, I will post silly photos of the indoor cats, Poob especially.
this is Poob, who spends a lot of time staring out the window at Creamsicle:
Poob is not very smart but his heart is good.
