Care for Donna Dense

My sister-in-law is one of the most beautiful souls I know. She loves the lord with all her heart, she does not just profess her faith, she lives it.

Her days have become very challenging, she is receiving hospice services at this time, but unfortunately her disease has progressed to the point that she can no longer work. At her request, I am telling her story and asking for your assistance.

Her story of cancer began in June 2011 with a diagnosis of stage 1 breast cancer, but unfortunately it did not end with a lumpectomy and radiation. In May 2013 she was diagnosed with stage 4 Colo rectal Cancer, she pursued treatment and went three years with no evidence of tumors. In October 2017 concerns grew once again, after experiencing ongoing pain for months she received confirmation in March of 2018 of Reoccurring Metastatic Colon Cancer. Donna is a true soldier, always striving to keep her spirits up through faith, prayer, and treatments.  She has not wavered and believed that God would always take care of her, even at the most difficult and painful periods.

She now spends her days at home managing her pain, at time its excruciating only to be managed with medication and prayer. She is thankful for the hospice services she is receiving at home, but unfortunately she is unable to work and no longer has employer provided insurance.

A little backstory, Donna and Kevin journeyed to their current home in Idabell, OK to pursue Ministry at a Mission Choctaw Indian Community. For several years they supported that calling. They came to love their community and decided to make it home. Donna worked until recently in Educational Software Support,  and Kevin transitioned to a Hospice Chaplain. He now spends most of his time caring for Donna at home.

Unfortunately, the years of financial burden in medical expenses and now the loss of income, has only added to their challenges. She only now is asking for help to see them through the coming days.

First and foremost please keep Donna and Kevin in your prayers. These are certainly challenging times for everyone, but if you are able to contribute funds towards incurred medical expenses and with the loss of income, it is greatly appreciated. The funds donated will be used to help with medical bills, mortgage, utilities and related expenses, until a time when Kevin can return to work.
