Care for Joseph Guidry

Dear Friends,

Over the Summer, Joey had minor surgery on his arm and knee to remove a sac of fluid. As a result, his heart and kidneys were extremely compromised. Joey spent a month in the ICU while awaiting for a transfer to the cardiac unit at NWH. His heart stabilized, but his kidneys never recovered. He was released to Shirley Ryan Ability Labs to build his strength so that he could safely return home. Two weeks ago, he was admitted to the ICU again and placed on continuous dialysis. Unfortunately, his heart failure advanced beyond what could be addressed medically.

Joey decided that he would put his life in God's hands and asked me to bring him home. He is in hospice at home which requires 24x7 care. So many of you have asked how you can help? I am asking for your donation to help support his care and cover arrangements as we plan for Joey's transition. Any money left over will go into a trust for his three grand children, Allie, Alyssa and Ryan Jr.
