Care for the Kauflin Family

Nine years ago, the Kauflin family shared the difficult news that their son, Jack, was diagnosed with leukemia. Their story became an inspiration to many as Jack bravely fought and his family (Jordan, Tali, and at the time, two brothers) dealt with the significant effects of having a family member with cancer. After three and a half years, Jack finished his treatment plan in 2013. In 2018, he was officially given a clean bill of health after five cancer free years following his treatment.
This May, just as Jack was finishing up fifth grade and his mom and dad were creating summer plans for the family, Tali noticed bruising and petechiae on Jack’s skin. She called Jack’s long-term care oncologist, who recommended going to a Children’s hospital in the area and getting bloodwork. What began as a normal school day on May 22nd, culminated in an ER room with the sad confirmation that Jack’s leukemia has relapsed. He was immediately admitted that night and two days later, went into surgery to get a new port placed and his treatment began. Once again, Jack Kauflin and his family have to fight the arduous battle with this disease.
In addition to the difficulties of chemotherapy, new protocols, radiation, and multiple long-term stays at the hospital over the next 2 years, the Kauflins now have five children, a busy life/schedule, and Jordan continues his work as a full-time pastor.
While Jack is receiving treatment for this relapse of leukemia, the Kauflin family will need our care and support! This fund seeks to offset the financial burden of Jack's treatment and the additional costs to their daily lives. These costs include co-pays, prescriptions, medical care, etc. There are also care needs for the rest of this sweet family of seven. As one parent will be at the hospital with Jack through much of his treatment, we'd like to help ease daily life for the rest of the family at home. This includes care for Jack's four siblings, house cleaning, dog walking, extra meals, and much more. Please consider donating to support them and please continue to pray for Jack and the rest of the Kauflin family.
