Care for Violet: Support for the Bowman Family
Donation protected
We’re reaching out to our community to ask for support, recommendations, prayers, positive energy for the Bowman family as they face what’s ahead of them.
UPDATE:
Yesterday, Lindsay and Zak had an appointment with the chief of pediatric neurosurgery at Stanford. The tumor in Violet’s brain seems to be growing, so they want to do surgery this Friday.
The procedure will be 5 hours to both remove and biopsy the tumor. The doctor feels that they will be able to do the surgery without Violet facing any long-term disability (which was not what the family had heard from other doctors).
They will be in the hospital for four days following the surgery.
Let's join our collective love and prayers for Violet and her family this Friday!
Lindsay and Zak also want to express their thanks and overwhelming gratitude for all the love and support they have received.
______________
They have just recently discovered that their beloved 19-month old, Violet, has a brain tumor. There are still a lot of unknowns in terms of diagnosis and treatment.
This is why they are doing whatever possible to get her care at a world-class pediatric neuroscience center.
Unfortunately, none of the top children’s hospitals are near them so they must prepare to temporarily relocate for surgery/treatment. On top of potential hospital bills and lost wages, they will need to cover the costs of temporary living arrangements.
We’d like to eliminate any financial stress they might encounter as they face what’s ahead.
If you have connections to hospitals or treatment centers, or any resources to share, please send us a message and pass it on to the Bowman family.
Thank you in advance for supporting this wonderful family through this nightmarish situation. They will be forever grateful.
