Care for George
Donation protected
Our dear friend, George Turner, who worked for Herb Gordon/Mileone Automotive Group from the mid-1960's until retiring in 2016, needs our help. George retired about 5 years ago solely to take care of his dear wife Eva who was suffering with dementia and George did not want to put her in a home. In early 2020, at the beginning of the Pandemic, George began to develop some short term memory issues and started to exhibit signs of confusion. Unbeknown to his family or friends, George fell victim to a telephone scam and lost his entire retirement savings. Then, most recently George himself has been diagnosed with late term dementia.
We have recently talked to his son Steve who has been sharing the duties of spending nights at his parents’ home with his sister Ericka. Steve and Ericka’s desire is to keep George and Eva together and the only option for them is to put them in a private memory care home together. Steve will put his parents home up for sale soon, and that should pay for two to three years of care at a private memory care home. In the meantime, while they look for an appropriate place that will accommodate both George and Eva, Steve and Ericka need our help in getting quality care at their home while they go through this process.
Please help, any donation is very appreciated.
