Care Pillows for breast cancer patients

Hi, my name is Michele Williams and I have created a group to make and donate Care Pillows for breast cancer patients undergoing surgery. This is a new group but so far we have donated over 350 pillows like the ones shown to a number of hospitals in Melbourne.

So far the fabric has all been donated and most of the pillow stuffing however we require ongoing stuffing in order to continue making these pillows. Some local businesses have generously offered to supply the stuffing at a discounted rate and this fundraising page has been set up for the community to help pay for the stuffing for the pillows.

10 kgs of stuffing makes approximately 40 pillows and 10 kgs of stuffing costs $68. Every dollar will help and these pillows make a real difference to breast cancer patients.

About me

I am a lawyer and I am a director of the Cancer Council Victoria board. This is a private initiative that I do in my spare time that came about because I made a pillow for a friend who was going through surgery. It provided great comfort to her and I realised that these pillows are not readily available and decided to start the group.
