Care to help 22 abandoned puppies!!!

Care to help 23 puppies!!! An ex-girlfriend left four pregnant dogs who later gave birth to more than 20 puppies!!! One momma dog and several puppies passed, but that still left three adult dogs and 23 puppies to care for! The dogs migrated over to the boyfriend's elderly couple's home. Unable to care for them, they contacted us, and we reached out to local rescuers. They visited the site the next morning and removed 22 puppies (one passed during this time) and two momma dogs.

They are caring for all the dogs and puppies and plan to get all of them fixed, including the four dogs the elderly couple own. We agreed to help by raising funds. Donations will cover food, vet, and spay/neuter costs.

This case highlights the pet overpopulation crisis facing our state. To help address these issues, we also intend to form a Pet Overpopulation Coalition, whose members will include elected officials, rescue groups, animal control agencies, humane societies, and civic and business leaders.

The goal of the Coalition is to seek funds for the construction of more public animal shelters, humane services, and spay/neuter programs. To join, please send your name, the parish you reside in, and contact information to [email redacted].
