Care to help this long-suffering miniature pony?

This poor white mare miniature pony is tired, looks defeated, and desperately needs her hooves trimmed. Imagine how painful it is to have such overgrown hooves! Every step puts pressure on the laminae, a very sensitive area of the hoof, which connects to internal structures and the coronary band.

Fortunately, relatives of the elderly owners surrendered the poor, long-suffering pony and two others to Haydens Hoofbeats Haven, an equine sanctuary in Allen Parish. As one of our primary equine partners, we help HHH's efforts by raising funds for their seized and surrendered horses. Together, we've helped charge multiple horse owners for cruelty to animals and taken in almost a dozen neglected horses over the past three years.
