Caregiver Complications
Donation protected
As some of you may know my mother, Carla Sue Bryant, passed away on August 20 2015. My mother was my everlasting champion and one of my primary care givers. After two years of living in the home of some tremendously kind people, this summer I decided to move into an apartment with someone whom I cherish and who also takes wonderful care of me. Ideally this caring person would be compensated for their time through a program called a Medicaid Waiver Program. However, due to a number of factors, including financial need and bureaucratic incompetence, I was discharged from the program in the early Autumn. Since then our household has been entirely reliant on my disability check, almost all of which goes towards rent and food. My housemate has a part-time job, but even with his small paycheck things have been very tight. Any money raised will go to pay basic expenses while we navigate the labyrinth of Medicaid recertification. Any generousity is appreciated and thank you for your time and consideration.
