Caregiving Help for Jay Fleck

Donation protected
My dad, Jay Fleck, has been battling stage 4 prostate cancer for the last 4 years. He has fought hard and done better than doctors expected. However, we have reached the point in his journey where there are no more available treatments. He is now on hospice care, and the doctors have given him a few weeks to a few months to live. In the past few months, he has had to have emergency spinal surgery to remove a tumor that was compressing his spinal cord and causing him to lose feeling in his legs. The surgery was successful, but he has permanent weakness in both legs. He is unable to walk at this time and requires assistance for all tasks. He is unable to be alone for more than a few hours at a time due to his care needs. My mom, Emily Fleck, has been a long time school teacher in the Manheim community and has been doing her best to meet all the needs of her students and family over the last few years of this cancer journey. She will be taking work leave to care for Jay at this point, but his care needs are too much for her to handle on her own. We are asking for donations to hire private duty nurses to come in a few hours a day to help with his care. This will allow my mom to enjoy the time with my dad and allow my dad to get the care he needs and be able to stay in his home surrounded by family. Thank you for any help you can give!
