Caregiving: Sustain Tanisha's independence
Donation protected
Hey everyone,
Today, we're reaching out as we hit a wall and need to ask for help. We are still trying to secure consistent, reliable care for Tanisha.
As many of you know, Tanisha has not had a regularly scheduled morning caregiver for over 3+ years. While we have all done our best to ensure her needs are met, the lack of consistent care has been very difficult. We believe that it's time for Tanisha to have the support she needs, and to have the comfort of knowing a dedicated person will be there daily to assist her.
We hope to raise enough funds to secure a couple of part-time caregivers for Tanisha to cover the next year. The estimated cost for this care is significant, but it will allow us to guarantee the continuity of care she needs, allowing her to focus on the things she loves, rather than worrying about managing her day-to-day health needs. Your generous donations will directly fund the costs of paying caregivers.
No contribution is too small. Every single dollar brings us one step closer to our goal. We understand if you are unable to donate, and ask if you could share this fundraiser within your circles to help spread the word. By working together, we can ensure that Tanisha gets the care she desperately needs and deserves.
In the last few years, she has graduated from North Seattle College with a degree in Architectural Engineering Drafting and accepted a job at BCRA design firm. She also began working with Disability Rights Washington as a program coordinator for the BIPOC Mobility Action Coalition, advocating for policies that bring equitable transit and housing for underserved communities across Washington state. Despite the many hardships, she has continued to work towards a more independent future. With your contribution, we're not only addressing her immediate needs but also sustaining her momentum, including her ambitions to eventually support herself. Let's show her that she's not alone in this journey and that we, her community, are here to support her.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!! We appreciate any and all support you have given us and thank you for anything you can do to help now.
With love and gratitude,
Martin, Tanisha, and family
